2015 Walk for Research
Net profits from this event will be directed for research to The Methodist Hospital Foundation specifically for Triple Negative Breast Cancer and Metastatic Research.
Triple Negative Breast Cancer, which is an extremely aggressive type of breast cancer that targets young women and African American women, continues taking the lives of many, many young women and mothers.
Causes for a Cure supports research efforts to determine a treatment protocol that is effective against this aggressive and life-threatening sub-set of breast cancer.
Please plan to join us following the race at Texas Roadhouse on Hwy 249 and Northpointe (next to Silverado Theaters) for lunch and fellowship.
We'll have a designated area for our group! TRH has been a great support to CFAC and we want to show them our appreciation. It provides us a great opportunity to visit after the event.
Last year, at our 4th Annual Walk for Research, although fewer participants, walkers solicited more sponsorships and we raised $10,700 for breast cancer research. It was one of most successful years. This year we hope to increase participants and the funds. Help us by signing up and sending this to your friends and family! We encourage you to solicit the support of your walk from your family and friends as you would do in Komen and Avon Walks. We ask each participant to commit to raising $100 in sponsorships or pay the difference.
The key to a financially successful event like this is the sponsorships you raise. Won't you help us?
We are pleased to have our two veteran sister-survivors walk with us again this year. Melissa Rosilez and her sister, Bridgett Padilla, have both fought the battle and are victorious in their fight. They have been here every year. They and other participating survivors make our hearts happy!

In Honor and Memory
As a non-profit, charitable organization, it is of topmost importance that our funds are designated to organizations that focus their efforts on research. We host this walk annually in honor of those who are currently walking through breast cancer, survivors who have defeated it, and in loving memory of those who have lost their battle.
