Net profits from this event will be directed for research to The Methodist Hospital Foundation specifically for Triple Negative Breast Cancer and Metastatic Research.
This year, we are honored to support Randa Gatlin, a 30-year old single mom who is a survivor of Triple Negative and Metastatic Breast Cancer. Dr. Angel Rodriquez, from Triple Negative Breast Cancer Clinic (Methodist Cancer Center), will be here to share what they are doing as a research team for these issues and the courage and benefit that is gained by having patients, like Randa, participate in clinical trials.
Triple Negative Breast Cancer, which is an extremely aggressive type of breast cancer that targets young women and African American women, continues taking the lives of many, many young women and mothers.
Causes for a Cure supports research efforts to determine a treatment protocol that is effective against this aggressive and life-threatening sub-set of breast cancer.
